April 12, 2017—Fort Worth, Texas—Texas Christian University’s National Student Advertising Competition Team took second place overall in the District 10 competition hosted by the American Advertising Federation. The competition took place April 5-7 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
The team, led by Professor Dr. Laura Bright, Ph.D., and Professor Stephen Levering, presented their campaign idea on Thursday, April 6. The presentation was given by Sydney Green, Hannelore Strash, Priyanka Kasnavia, and David Brennan.
The competition team is an option for a capstone course for strategic communication seniors. Selected in November of last year, the team has met for class twice a week starting in January to develop a campaign for the AAF selected client. This year’s client was Tai Pei Asian Frozen Food.
