Dr. Catherine Coleman awarded research fellowship from the American Academy of Advertising

March 31, 2017—Fort Worth, Texas— Department of Strategic Communication professor Dr. Catherine Coleman, Ph.D., is awarded the 2016-2017 American Academy of Advertising (AAA) Research Fellowship for her research on Representing Gender: Cross-cultural implications of advertising professionals’ gender theories.

Coleman drew from data collected while on sabbatical in London, United Kingdom fall 2016 semester. The award was presented at the AAA conference on Saturday, March 26 in Boston.

Coleman graduated from the Sewanee: The University of the South with her B.A. degree, and received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Coleman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Strategic Communication, teaching courses such as Advertising, Research and Ethics. She also serves as an executive committee member for Discovering Global Citizenship, and is the co-advisor for the American Advertising Federation affiliated TCU chapter.
