Strategic communication faculty and students engage in projects with community partners by conducting and providing research and by creating strategies, tactics and campaigns for advertising and public relations efforts.
Current and past projects completed by TCU students and faculty include:
· The TCU VITALS campaign in 2011-2012 and again in 2013, funded with a $50,000 grant from The Century CouncilClass research projects and campaigns for TCU recycling efforts, JPS Health Network, Best-Maid Pickles, the American Heart Association, Fort Worth-based Ladder Alliance, TCU Frogs for the Cure (Komen), the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Main Street Arts Festival, Smoke-Free Texas, the Communities Foundation of Texas, and more between 2010-2014.
· A crisis communication and social media plan for Fort Worth-based Streams and Valleys in 2012.
· Clients for Roxo, the program’s student-driven strategic communication agency, including Kids Vision for Life, Tarrant My Ride, Girls Inc., TCU Tennis, and the Lone Star Film Festival.
· Stories and profiles of local businesses, organizations, and people for The 109, a web-based community information source for Fort Worth residents living in zip code 76109.
